I am a post-doctoral researcher in the Laboratory on Social & Affective Neuroscience. Previously, I completed my PhD and postdoctoral training at the University of California, Berkeley, where I worked with Özlem Ayduk and Dacher Keltner, and was a visiting postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Experimental Psychology at the University of Oxford. My research takes an interdisciplinary approach to uncover how emotions shape our lives across the lifespan, examining their developmental roots, how they unfold in daily life, and how people can regulate them effortlessly. I am particularly interested in how emotion recognition, experiences, beliefs, and regulation shape the development of socioemotional functioning, loneliness, health, and well-being. Ultimately, I aim to translate insights from my research into real-world interventions that promote human flourishing. For my publications, please visit Google Scholar.
