LSAN Honors Thesis student Paige Foster received the Excellence in Research in Psychology Award!...
Recently, LSAN has welcomed several new postdoctoral researchers. Dr. Joseph Venticinque received his PhD in Human Development from UC Davis and joined us shortly after in the Summer of 2024. He has been leading an NSF-funded project on the neural differences of self- versus other-oriented decision-making among individuals with varying levels of prosocial and antisocial personality traits. Dr. Samantha Perlstein received her PhD in Clinical Psychology from the University of Pennsylvania and brings expertise on the biological and environmental origins of childhood antisocial behavior. Her research aims to inform clinical interventions for childhood antisocial behavior and callous-unemotional traits. Most recently, we’ve welcomed Dr. Özge Ugurlu, who received her PhD in Social-Personality Psychology from UC Berkeley. Dr. Ugurlu specializes in daily emotions and their effects on overall wellbeing and social connection, with a specific expertise and interest in loneliness. Welcome to all of our postdocs, we are so happy to have you!
