Congratulations to Dr. Katie O’Connell, who successfully defended her dissertation, “From perception to social connection: Assessing deficits and modulation of empathic processes to study human social behavior.” It was a pleasure to hear all that Katie has discovered about the neural and cognitive processes that support social connectedness, social perceptions, and empathy. And it was so fun to welcome back several former lab members (Elise Cardinale and Kristin Brethel-Haurwitz) to join the celebration!
